Humanities and Western Civilization

Director, Prof. James Woelfel, 303 Bailey, 864-3011
Scheduling Officer, Antha Cotten-Spreckelmeyer, 303F Bailey, 864-3011

The Humanities and Western Civilization Program reserves the right to terminate administratively the enrollment of any student who misses two consecutive class meetings during the first two weeks of the semester. Should an emergency situation cause the student to miss two consecutive class meetings, the student should contact the instructor or the Humanities and Western Civilization Program (864-3011) immediately.

The Humanities and Western Civilization Program reserves the right to terminate the enrollment of any non-honors program freshman (as determined by credit hours) enrolled in Western Civilization classes. Students are expected to submit promptly requests to drop should they decide to disenroll from Western Civilization classes.

HWC 204 and HWC 114 meet the Western Civilization I requirement.
HWC 205 and HWC 115 meet the Western Civilization II requirement.

For best course availability, students should try to plan their schedules so that they take WCI in a fall semester and WCII in a spring semester.
